Provided are a method and device for fiber-to-the-home. The method comprises: receiving, by a virtual passive optical network (PON) medium access control (MAC) of an optical network unit (ONU), a first message from an OLT, determining that the first message matches the ONU, and finding, in a preset corresponding relationship, a first buffer area corresponding to the virtual PON MAC receiving the first message; buffering, by the ONU, the received first message in the found first buffer area; and sending, by the ONU, via a UNI corresponding to the first buffer area, and to a user, the first message in the first buffer area. |
