MASKING APPARATUS FOR CRT OF FLAT COLOR DISPLAY HAVING TENSION SHADOW MASK MANUFACTURED BY Fe-Ni ALLOY

PURPOSE: A masking apparatus for a CRT of a flat color display having a tension shadow mask manufactured by Fe-Ni alloy is provided to reduce sensitivity for local heating by having a unique vibration frequency and excellent flatness. CONSTITUTION: A masking apparatus for a CRT of a flat color display comprises a support frame for a tension shadow mask and a tension shadow mask. The support frame is manufactured by Fe-Ni alloy having a thermal expansion coefficient less than 5x10¬-6K¬-1 at 20°C to 150°C and a yield stress larger than 700MPa at 20°C. The tension shadow mask is manufactured by Fe-Ni alloy having a thermal expansion coefficient less than 3x10¬-6K¬-1 at 20°C to 150°C. An average expansion coefficient of the support frame alloy is larger than that of the shadow mask alloy between 20°C and 300°C. The expansion coefficient of the frame alloy is less than that of the shadow mask alloy over 300°C.
