PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously regenerating catalyst particles in a low-temperature and low-humidity environment. SOLUTION: Deactivated catalyst particles are allowed to fall down in a regeneration tower 20 through a first coke combustion zone 40, a second coke combustion zone 70, an oxychlorination zone 90, and a calcining zone 110 in this order. In the first coke combustion zone 40, the particles are brought into contact with a regeneration gas coming from the second coke combustion zone 70, dry air supplied, and an inert gas supplied. The regeneration gas is introduced into the regeneration tower 20 through the second coke combustion zone 70, taken out of the regeneration tower 20 through the first coke combustion zone 40, and recycled to the inside of the second coke combustion zone 70 through a regeneration system 140, a compressor 160, and a heater 180.
