PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner with a centrifugal fan for a vehicle, capable of blowing out the air of high capacity from a blowout opening of high required blowout air capacity, while miniaturizing an air conditioning unit by reducing a scroll winding angleθof a scroll casing 17. SOLUTION: The comparatively high fan efficiency is ensured by an air blower 14 of small scroll winding angleθby using a backward fan 15 of which the fan efficiency is hardly changed with respect to the scroll winding angleθ. The air of high capacity can be blown out from the blowout opening 23 of high capacity by mounting the blowout opening part 23 of high required blowout capacity at a winding starting part 17 c side of the winding starting part 17c and a winding end part 17d of the scroll casing 17, with respect to a blowout opening part 25 of low required blowout capacity.
