PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for executing marking on an article or particularly a cock of a bottle economically with a simple execution. SOLUTION: The method for forming a decorative pattern on the article formed of a support made of a thermoplastic substance comprises the steps of metallizing an entirety or a part of the support by an electroforming method, forming a metal coating for at least partly forming the decorative pattern, and here pretreating a surface of the substance corresponding to the decorative pattern so as not to be metallized by the electroforming method. In this case, the pretreatment has an illumination of a laser beam to the surface of the substance of the support corresponding to the decorative pattern.
