PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-core, polarization maintaining optical fiber that can be used suitably for application which utilizes the relative relation in the polarizing directions of a paired optical fibers. SOLUTION: The polarization maintaining optical fibers 1a, 1b that allows polarized light to propagate while maintaining the polarizing direction are paired, and the polarizing directions of these fibers 1a, 1b are adjusted at a specific relative angle and fixed to a two-core ferrule 15. |
