PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-insulating double container which is not deformable even in the case where high-temperature or low-temperature contents are put therein and which has a sufficient heat-insulating performance. SOLUTION: The heat-insulating double container has a gap space 3a for forming an air layer, which is provided between an outer peripheral face of an inner container 1 and an inner peripheral face of an outer container 2. Longitudinal ribs 5 are provided in the gap space 3a in a zigzag state so as to extend from an upper end of the container and from a lower end thereof. A communication port 2a is provided in the vicinity of a bottom of a side face of the outer container 2, thereby allowing air in the air layer in the gap space 3a to communicate with the external air. Thus, it is so designed that the air in the air layer reaches the communication port 2a while repeating ascending and descending movements in the gap space 3a. Accordingly, a pressure change of the air in the air layer is controlled to prevent the container from being deformed, and the outflow of the air in the air layer is controlled so that the container holds a sufficient heat-insulating performance.
