PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screening apparatus for papermaking capable of preventing clogging and efficiently separating useful fiber from foreign matter. SOLUTION: This screening apparatus for papermaking is equipped with a tank for storing papermaking raw materials, having an inlet part of papermaking raw material, a first selection outlet part 42, a second selection outlet part and a foreign matter outlet part 44, a cylindrical first screen 2 having space part 21 dividing the interior of the tank into a first part chamber 4a and a second chamber 4b, a second screen 3 provided with an outside outer peripheral surface 32 having a space part 31 and an inside inner peripheral surface 34 and having a ceiling surface 35 connecting the top of the surface 34 to the top of the surface 32 and provided in the outside of the cylindrical first screen 2 in the first chamber, a rotator 5 rotatably provided in close to ceiling surface of the second screen 3, a first agitating part 61 hung from the ceiling surface of the rotator 5 and opposite to the outside of the first screen 2 and a second agitating part 62 hung from the ceiling surface of the rotator 5 and opposed to the outside peripheral surface 32 of the second screen 3.
