PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide roller which can largely prevent the formation of beat marks and/or dents on a knitted fabric produced with a knitting machine, and to provide a guide device. SOLUTION: This guide roller for guiding a knitted wear produced with a knitting machine, having at least one stub shaft 3 which is projected on the side of a middle part 2 as a component part and has a smaller outer diameter than the outer diameter of the middle part, and at least one adjustment ring 16 which can be attached to one side of the stub shaft to form a circular gap, whose first axial end 17 has the same outer diameter as the outer diameter of the middle part 2, and whose second axial end on the side opposite to the first axial end forms the final end of the circular gap, characterized in that the adjustment ring is assembled from at least two shells 24 and 25 which are adjacent to each other along a hair line butt joint.
