PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide case hardening steel for carburizing by which carburized parts excellent in bending strength can be obtained. SOLUTION: This case hardening steel excellent in bending strength contains alloy elements of, by mass, 0.10 to 0.35% C, 0.40 to 1.50% St, 0.30 to 2.00% Mn, <=0.030% P, <=0.030% S and 0.50 to 3.00% Cr, and the balance Fe with inevitable impuritis, and in which the ratio of breaking loads is >=1.21 even in the case the distribution of the C concentration after carburizing is in a shallow state of <=0.72 mm as shown in the figure compared to the case of JIS SCr420 in the same lot.
