PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a windshield for an automobile excellent in water repellency, dripping and flowability of water drops, low in adhesion of water drop and easy to remove the adhered water drop. SOLUTION: This windowpane for automobile has a water-repelling layer formed at least a face of a glass substrate and the polar term of a surface energy of the water-repelling layer is 0.3-1.0 mJ/m2.
