PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balance/imbalance signal switching device capable of switching balance and imbalance signals only by connecting a cable to the device of a connecting destination. SOLUTION: A balance/imbalance signal switching device 101 is provided with a BNC connector 102 for inputting the imbalance signal, a D-Sub connector 103 for inputting the balance signal and a level converting circuit 104 connected to these connectors. A first terminal 108 and a second terminal 121 of the BNC connector 102 are insulated and the side of the second terminal 121 is grounded. Therefore, when the connector of a coaxial cable is mounted to the BNC connector 102, a second line 109 for connecting the first terminal 108 and a second input terminal 111 of the level converting circuit 104 is grounded and a state for inputting the imbalance signal is provided. While the balance signal is inputted to the D-Sub connector 103, the second line 109 becomes the potential of that signal. Thus, signal switching is enabled.
