摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for image formation, in which images of high gradation and high resolution can be obtained. SOLUTION: In the method for image formation by using at least an electrophotographic photoreceptor, electrifying device, exposure device and toner, the electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer formed by depositing a charge-generating layer and a charge transfer layer. The charge- generating layer is formed, by using oxytitanim phthalocyanine as the charge generating material which has a maximum diffraction peak Bragg angle of 27.3 deg. (2θ±0.2) in X-ray diffraction with CuKαrays. The photoreceptor is electrified through contact or proximity electrification by the electrifying device, having an electrifying member the distribution of volume resistivity of which in one plane satisfies a specified formula. Then the photoreceptor is exposed by using the exposure device for a digital image with 600 dots/inch or higher recording dot density. The electrostatic latent image formed by the exposure is developed, by using the toner having 3 to 8μm volume average particle size.</p>
