PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink composition for a ball-point pen, capable of being achromatized after the writing by an organic solvent and heating, and having adequately regulated viscosity. SOLUTION: This water-based ink composition for the ball-point pen, capable of being achromatized after the writing by the organic solvent and the heating at least comprises (a) water as a solvent, and (b) a coloring agent including at least a leuco dye and a developer, mixed with a water-insoluble resin or coated with the water-insoluble resin, and comprising a fine powder or microcapsules including the leuco dye and the developer in a developed state, (c) a water-soluble decolorizer solid at normal temperature, and (d) a thickener capable of imparting properties for reducing sear viscosity to the ink. |
