PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having improved cleaning characteristics which can stably supply satisfactory image quality over a long time, without having to depend on the environmental changes, such as in temperature and humidity. SOLUTION: The photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer essentially made of amorphous silicon laminated on a substrate. The surface free energy (γ) of the photoreceptor surface is in the range ofγ<=55 mN/m, and the component of the hydrogen coupling force (γh) of the surface free energy (γ) is in the range ofγh<=15 mN/m, and the electrophotographic device is equipped with the photoreceptor.
