A headbox includes a mounting arrangement for detachably mounting an upstream end portion of vane(s) in the headbox. The mounting arrangement comprises an engagement member and an elongate structural element. The engagement member comprises oblong engagement bodies. The upstream end portion of the vane is provided with oblong recesses for receiving the engagement bodies. A headbox for delivering a jet of stock to a forming zone in a former for wet-forming a fiber web comprises a slice (8) having a chamber (12) and an opening (15). A turbulence generator (7) is provided for supplying stock(s) to the slice chamber. An mounting arrangement is provided for detachably mounting the upstream end portion (25) of vane (21) in the headbox. The mounting arrangement comprises an engagement member (26) and an elongate structural element (27). The engagement member is connected to the vane at the upstream end portion. The elongate structural element has a longitudinal groove, which opens at its opposing ends for receiving the upstream end portion of the vane and the engagement member, to secure the vane in the machine direction. The engagement member comprises oblong engagement bodies. The upstream end portion of the vane is provided with oblong recesses of predetermined length. The recesses are arranged at predetermined distance from each other, and extend parallel with the upstream edge of the vane at a predetermined distance. They are adapted to receive the engagement body for detachably mounting the engagement body in the upstream portion of the vane. |
