OPTICAL FIBER CUTTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cutter capable of utilizing a circular blade which does not necessitate highly precise working and capable of controlling as much as possible dispersion of a height generating in the case of rotating or replacing the circular blade. SOLUTION: The cutter is provided with a freely slidable slider 17 and the circular blade 50 which is fixed to the slider and adds an initial flaw to an optical fiber. The circular blade 50 is provided with a tapered surface in the outer peripheral part. The blade is provided with a pressing metal fixture 310 holding at least two places of the tapered surface and an attaching screw 340 piercing the circular blade 50. Dispersion of the height of the blade is reduced even when the circular blade 50 is rotated by supporting the circular blade with the tapered surface.
