METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING DATA AND CONTROL INFORMATION IN PARALLEL USING CONTROL PAYLOAD DATA UNIT

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and receiving data and control information in parallel using a control PDU(Payload Data Unit) is provided to transmit and/or receive data and associated control information in parallel using a control PDU. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting side RLC(Radio Link Control) protocol entity receives a message(401) and confirms what this message is (402). If the message is a data message transferred from an upper layer, the RLC protocol entity transforms the received data message in the form of an RLC data PDU through RLC protocol processing(403). Then the RLC protocol entity extracts a sequence number from the RLC data PDU(404) and creates a hybrid ARQ(Automatic Repeat ReQuest) control information control PDU on the basis of the extracted information(405). The RLC protocol entity stores the created RLC data PDU in a re-transmission buffer before transmitting it to a receiving side(406). The RLC protocol entity transmits the RLC data PDU and the hybrid ARQ control information control PDU to a transmitting side MAC protocol entity in order to transmit them to the receiving side(407). The MAC protocol entity, receiving the PDUs, executes MAC protocol processing(408). Then the MAC protocol entity transmits the RLC data PDU and the hybrid ARQ control information control PDU to a physical layer using a DSCH(Downlink Shared CHannel) and a DCH(Dedicated CHannel) respectively(409). The physical layer executes physical layer processing(410) and transmits the RLC data PDU and the hybrid ARQ control information control PDU to the receiving side through a PDSCH(Physical DSCH) and a DPCH(Dedicated Physical CHannel) respectively in parallel(411).
