The luggage retainer comprises a retaining rack (2) mounted on a winder (1). There are two lateral arms (5) which support the winder at one of their ends. The other ends are mounted on the vehicle floor (7) where they pivot from a position where the winder is at the top of the rear bench seat and a position where the winder is at the top of the vehicle front bench seat.
