PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic tool changer having a tool magazine capable of storing a number of tools in a small space without any increase in size of construction of an apparatus. SOLUTION: In a tool stocker 8 for storing plural kinds of tools T mounted on a tool holder TH to be changed, plural tool pots 11 for removably holding the tool holder TH are radially disposed and provided in two, upper and lower stages. This apparatus is provided with a turning mechanism and a vertical moving mechanism for combining two upper and lower tool pots 11, 11 as one set and moving the same to the tool changing position.
