PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the constitution and control of a sample suction device by performing the action of holding a specimen container and the action of inserting a suction needle into the specimen container by one drive source. SOLUTION: First, second and third members that can be linearly reciprocated in the same direction are installed with spaces so that the second member is positioned between the first and third members. A drive source is installed on the third member to enlarge and reduce the space between the first and third members, and an elastically compressible spacer is inserted between the second and third members. The third member is provided with a suction needle with its tip pointing toward the first member. The drive source takes first action of reducing the space between the first and third members to move the first member toward the third member so as to come in contact with one end of a specimen container, second action of moving the second member together with the third member toward the first member to bring the second member into contact with the other end of the specimen container and to hold the specimen container by the first and second members, and third action of moving the third member toward the first member to compress the spacer and to bring the third member close to the second member to thereby insert the suction needle into the specimen container. |
