PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate optimum range-finding information or defocus information with a 2nd measuring mode even when the measurement of the range-finding information or the defocus information with a 1st measuring mode has not been successfully made. SOLUTION: This measuring device is provided with: 1st measuring means (#106 to #108, #113 and #114) for performing the measurement of the range- finding information or the defocus information by simultaneously accumulating and reading out output from a pair of sensor means corresponding to a wide visual field on a measurement object surface and then extracting a plurality of specified sensor output; a 2nd measuring means (#110 to #112) for performing the measurement of the range-finding information or the defocus information after accumulating and reading out only the output of the sensor selected from the sensor means, and a measurement control means (#115) allowing the 2nd measuring means to perform the measurement and calculating the range-finding information or the defocus information from the obtained measured result when the measurement by the 1st measuring means is impossible. |
