摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of the problem of a dark latent image caused by a dark current in a radiological-image recording and readout apparatus. SOLUTION: Before an image is recorded by applying a steady electric field 10 V/μm to a detector, a pre-electric field 13 V/μm which is larger than the steady electric field 10 V/μm is applied only for a prescribed time. After the pre-electric field 13 V/μm is stopped, the steady electric field 10 V/μm is applied for a comparatively short time. Then, the dark current is set to a low level as compared with a case where the steady electric field is applied (indicated by a dotted line in the figure) after both electrodes of the current detector 10 are set to a short-circuit state for many hours, and it is brought close to a leakage current value according to the steady electric field. The state is a state in which the space charge state of a stabilized high-resistance state is formed at the inside of a photoconductive layer 12 for recording or in the interface between the photoconductive layer 12 and the electrodes. A state in which the dark latent image is accumulated little is realized in an electricity storage part 19. Consequently, even when the steady electric current is applied so as to perform a recording operation after the pre-electric field is applied, there is no fear that a large-level dark latent image noise as in conventional cases is generated, and the dark latent image noise is reduced.
