<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize preprocessing of coding such as reorder processing and absorption processing of asynchronism with minimum memory size in a picture coding system even for a large volume picture data to be coded. SOLUTION: The picture coding system comprises a compression section 2 for compressing input picture data to be coded, a memory section 4 for storing the input picture data compressed in the compression section 2 for given preprocessing of coding, an expanding section 5 for expanding the compressed picture data stored in the memory section 4 into the original input picture data, and a coding section 6 for coding the input picture data expanded in the expanding section 5.</p> |
