SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel derivatives of 4-(1- piperazinyl)-benzoic acid of the formula (I) where Ar means mono-, di- or tricyclic aryl having from 6 to 14 carbon atoms and Ar can has from 1 to 3 substitutes taken among the group including (C1-C8)-alkyl, (C1-C8)-alkoxy-group, halogen atom, trifluoromethyl-group; R1 is taken among the group including hydrogen atom, cycloalkyl containing from 3 to 8 carbon atoms, (C6-C14)-aryl, heteroaryl-(C1-C6)-alkyl being heteroaryl is taken among the group including furyl; R2 and R3 are hydrogen atoms, and their solvates and pharmaceutically acceptable salts. Compounds can be used for treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus being mainly its insulin- nondependent form since the proposed compounds show hypoglycaemic effect but devoid of toxicity in effective doses. Invention describes also a pharmaceutical composition based on the claimed compounds and method of their synthesis.
