PURPOSE: A touch panel and a fabricating method thereof are provided to prevent disconnection when upper and lower substrates are attached in a state in which the upper and lower substrates are abnormally arranged by covering a dielectric layer from the contour of a region in which the second transparent conductive film is formed to the edge of the lower substrate. CONSTITUTION: The first transparent conductive film is formed on one surface of an upper substrate. An upper electrode(22) is formed at a lower surface of the first transparent conductive film. A lower substrate(12) is installed to be opposite with the upper substrate, and the patterned second transparent is formed on an upper surface of the lower substrate(12). A lower electrode(14) is formed on the lower substrate(12), and is capable of turning on an electric current with the second transparent conductive film(22). A dielectric layer(21) is covered on a region from the contour of a region in which the second transparent conductive film(22) is formed to the edge of the lower substrate(12), and reclaims the lower electrode(14). A dot spacer(18) is inserted into the upper and lower substrates(12) for maintaining an interval between the upper and lower substrates(12). A cable(19) is electrically connected with the upper and lower substrates(12), and a certain power is supplied to the cable(19). |
