PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document managing device where a risk of a file being lost is reduced by suppressing the increase of the file size. SOLUTION: In a database system for electronizing a document, inputting the document as an image and managing the document, images are divided into areas for each layout attribute of a type such as 'diagram', 'text', and 'table', layout analysis information is outputted, partial document data comprising partial image data, an object information, the layout analysis information, etc., in each area of each layout attribute are extracted by using the layout analysis information to prepare document objects, the document objects are subjected to saving processing that allocates the document objects to a plurality of storing means according to the positional relation on the layout, and the original document data are reconstructed from the document objects stored in the storing means. The original document data can also be reconstructed according to linkage information, specific layout attributes and significant objects. |
