PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving a yield, improving the yield of a paper making raw material and also reducing water content after dehydrating press, because, since conventionally used acrylic type cationic or amphoteric polymer as the yield-improving agent is a quaternary ammonium base-containing polymer and thus has a very high hydrophilic property, the water content of a wet paper produced by adding such polymer becomes naturally high, therefore the water content after its dehydrating press is not sufficiently reduced and a steam consumption of a dryer is not reduced to lead that the productivity can not be improved. SOLUTION: This method for improving the water filterability is to add a primary amino group-containing (co)polymer produced by polymerizing a monomer (or a mixture) consisting of a primary amino group-containing acrylic type monomer as an essential component, into a paper-forming raw material before its paper making.
