PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible tube for endoscope, whose weight of the tip end side is lightened to reduce the load on a part A around the operating part to enable to prevent degradation and breakage of the part A around the operating part. SOLUTION: This flexible tube 10 of an inserting part for endoscope comprises a core material 2 and an envelope 3 to cover the periphery of the core material 2. The envelope 3 is constituted of a laminate with an inner layer 31 and an outer layer 32. The outer layer 32 has a first area 32a positioned to the base end 11 side and a second area 32b positioned to the tip end 12 side. A border part 34 is formed in between the first area 32a and the second area 32b. The second area 32b is made of a material with specific gravity lower than that of the first area 32a. Thus the weight of a part from the center in the longitudinal direction to the tip end 12 side of the flexible tube 10 of inserting part is made lighter than the weight of a part from the center of the longitudinal direction to the base end 11 side.
