PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive fixed platen exhibiting shock absorbing properties against impact of a print head and excellent durability while preventing generation of a bubble on the surface. SOLUTION: Immediately after injecting a platen producing material C, i.e., ether based polyurethane, gradually into a die A while suppressing generation of bubbles on the surface as much as possible, residual bubbles on the surface are discharged by means of a piston B and then the platen producing material C is hardened by an ordinary method.
