PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid drop jet apparatus equipped with liquid discharge openings having different depths in the same tip. SOLUTION: In an ink-jet recording head 10, a rectangular big ink discharge opening 20 and a rectangular small ink discharge opening 22 which have different depths on a laminated edge face 18 are formed. When individual channels including these ink discharge openings is manufactured, the shallow small ink discharge opening 22 is protected by a etching protective film, while RIE operation is applied only to the big ink discharge 20. After this operation, the etching protective film is removed, and RIE operation is applied to both the big ink discharge opening and the small ink discharge opening. Thus, the ink discharge openings having different depths are formed with high precision. The ink discharge openings of the different depths provided like these enables printing with the big ink drop by priority of speed and printing with the small ink drop by priority of image quality.
