PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a needle thread take-up guard 61 which obstructs threading of the needle thread A onto the needle thread take-up from rattling. SOLUTION: A cloth presser releasing lever 11 and a thread take-up guard 61 are equipped related to a rotary lever 52 linking to vertical motion of the cloth presser. Because the thread take-up guard 61 is pressed against a regulating body 65 by energizing force of a tension spring 56, the thread take-up guard 61 does not rattle to secure quiet motion without generating noise even when the sewing machine vibrates in motion, and the upper side of the thread take-up 62 is cut off by the thread take-up guard 61 to prevent the needle thread A from threading onto the thread take-up 62 like an upward hook.
