PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven power steering device capable of easily applying a preload pressing a driving gear for transmitting steering assist force against a driven gear by a simple structure, and simplifying an, assembly process. SOLUTION: Rotation of a motor-driven actuator for generating the steering assist force is transmitted from the driving gear in an outer circumference of a driving shaft 50 covered with a housing 21 to a steering shaft via the driven gear. A one end part of the driving shaft 50 is supported in a recessed part 41 formed in the housing 21 by a support member 42 resiliently and displaceably inserted in the radial direction of the driving shaft 50. A synthetic resin material 46 hardened after injection in a molten state is filled in a space 45 surrounded by an inner face of the recessed part 41 and the support member 42. The preload pressing the driving gear against the driven gear is applied by a radial and resilient displacement of the driving shaft 50 along with the support member 42 based upon pressure acting from the synthetic resin material 46 to a surface of the support member 42. |
