PURPOSE: A device for controlling a length of a suction extension pipe for a vacuum cleaner is provided to become stable to external shock by controlling an inner pipe and an outer pipe when the inner and outer pipes are expanded or contracted by a telescopic action, and to allow a user to control the length of the pipe with only one hand. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling a length of a suction extension pipe for the vacuum cleaner includes a stopper coupling hole(14) and a cover guide rail(5b) formed on an outer upper circumference, a guide pipe(7) formed on an outer lower circumference, having a spring fitting protrusion(10b) and a spring inserting protrusion(10a) and connected to an end of the outer pipe, a pair of stoppers(15) contacted to a stopper control part(6) inside the stopper coupling hole of the guide pipe and caught to a hole(2) selected from a plurality holes, a spring(11) located on the spring fitting protrusion and the spring inserting protrusion, and a grip(G) elastically mounted to be biased and connected to the spring actuating part.
