PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging system in which the operator of an imaging request unit is not required to fetch a recording medium from an imaging unit and the operator can receive an imaged recording medium at the operator's place. SOLUTION: Information processors on respective desks (1-60) are connected with an imaging unit through a network. The imaging unit can move on a rail 105 and resides at a home position A-D. When an imaging request is delivered from any one information processor, an imaging apparatus closest to a requesting information processor is determined as an output machine with reference to positional information. The output machine performs imaging while moving toward the vicinity of the requesting information processor.
