PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interference detecting device capable of detecting a slight interference such as contact of cables connected to a robot on a work stage where plural robots are operated. SOLUTION: In this interference detecting device of a robot, the current position is obtained during the stop of the robot from an encoder for detecting the current position of the robot, a shift amount to the teaching position of the current position is detected by a shift detecting part 11, a shift amount detected by the interference detecting part 15 is compared with an allowable value stored in a shift allowable value storing pat 13, and when the shift amount exceeds the allowable value, the interference is determined to be existing.
