PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dressing device able to make dressing in a short period of time while wear of the tooth tips of a dressing gear is suppressed. SOLUTION: The dressing device is equipped with a worm-form dresser 21 furnished at the peripheral surface with a projection to engage with a honing whetstone 60 and rotating abutting to the tooth bottom of the whetstone 60, a synchronizing means to rotate the worm-form dresser one turn with respect to the specified rotating angle of the whetstone 60, and a gear-form dresser to engage with the whetstone 60 and making dressing of tooth flanks of the whetstone 60 after being dressed by the worm-form dresser 21.
