PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestrian support system capable of executing smooth support of a pedestrian at a crossing by communication between a road side wireless installation installed on the crossing and having crossing map information and a portable terminal of the pedestrian. SOLUTION: This pedestrian support system is equipped with the road side wireless installation 1 installed on the crossing and having the crossing map information and the portable terminal 7 carried by the pedestrian. The system is characterized by specifying the entrance direction of the pedestrian by exchanging the crossing map information by radio communication between the road side wireless installation 1 and the portable terminal 7, and executing various guides fit for the entrance direction. |
