PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method capable producing an electrophotographic photoreceptor having secularly stable quality even when a coating liquid for an electric charge transferring layer is repeatedly used. SOLUTION: In the method for producing an electrophotographic photoreceptor with at least an electric charge generating layer and an electric chare transferring layer on an electrically conductive substrate, the electric charge transferring layer is formed with a coating apparatus in which a coating liquid for forming the layer is repeatedly used. When the coating liquid is repeatedly used and the electric conductivity of fractionated water of the coating liquid exceeds 6μs/cm or the resistance of the coating liquid reaches about <=5 MΩ, the coating liquid is diluted >=2 times with the same solvent as a solvent used in the coating liquid, ionic or polar impurities in the coating liquid are adsorbed on an adsorbent and electric charge transferring layer forming materials used in the coating liquid except the solvent are added to the coating liquid subjected to the adsorption treatment. A coating liquid for forming an electric charge transferring layer is reprepared for use.
