VALVE FOR CONTROL MUFFLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve for a control muffler capable of preventing deterioration of gas sealing performance when the valve is closed. SOLUTION: This valve is provided with a valve element 2 mounted on a valve seat 1 disposed on the end part of an exhaust pipe part 11 in a muffler main body through a support shaft 3 to be opened and closed, and a coil spring 5 for energizing the valve in the closing direction by abutting the valve element 2 on a tapered seat surface 16 of the valve seat 1. A heat resisting cushioning seal member 6 is provided on the tapered seal surface 26 side of the valve element 2 abutting on the tapered seat surface 16 of the valve seat 1. The heat resisting cushioning seal member 6 is fixed to the valve element 2 through a fixing member 7 in a portion off the tapered seal surface 26 of the valve element 2 abutting on the tapered seat surface 16 of the valve seat 1.
