HIGHLY HEAT-RESISTANT AND FLAME RETARDANT CYANATE RESIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both an environmentally friendly type cyanate compound responsive to a leadless solder having a high melting temperature and achieving flame retardance without any halogen and a composition thereof. SOLUTION: This flame retardant cyanate resin has a phosphoric ester structure represented by the following general formula 1 (R1 and R2 are each any of the same or different hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group; x is an integer of 0-3; y is an integer of 0-5; and n and m denote each the same or different natural number). The composition uses the flame retardant cyanate resin.
