PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body structure of a vehicle which is improved in collision, strength increased in an energy absorption efficiency, and provided with a light-weight front side member. SOLUTION: The front side member 40 extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction comprises: a kick-up part 42; and a front side member body 43 extending in a front part of the kick-up part 42 and having an octagonal cylindrical shape in section between a front end 43a and a rear end 43b. The kick-up part 42 and the front side member body 43 are formed to be integrated with each other by welding an inner member 45 and an outer member 46 so as to be opposed to each other. A portion between the kick-up part 42 and the front side member body 43 of the inner member 45 and the outer member 46 are formed to be recessed in a direction in which they are in contact with each other. A connecting part 50 of the kick-up part 42 and the front side member body 43 is formed by welding them, and a first close section 51 and a second close section 52 are respectively formed in an upper side and a lower side of the connecting part 50.
