PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aldehyde-base compound absorbent for building materials which efficiently absorbs the aldehyde-base compound generated by the adhesives in the building materials and does not release this compound. SOLUTION: The aldehyde-base compound absorbent for building materials consisting of a polymer having the structural unit expressed by the following general formula (1) and the building terminals formed by compounding or applying this compound with or to the base material.
