PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sucking mechanism of an article supply device capable of smoothly performing holding and releasing operation of a supply object article in respective processes for supplying an a article while surely holding the supply object article. SOLUTION: This sucking mechanism is provided with a rotary ring 5A integrally rotated by being coaxially installed on a rotary table 3A of an electronic part supply device 1 and a fixed plate 5B for slidingly contacting in a plane orthogonal to a rotary shaft with this rotary ring 5A. Plural grooves 5Ab respectively corresponding to a part holding part 4 are formed on the same circumference of a sliding contact surface of the rotary ring 5A, and grooves 5Bb communicated in the one-to-one relationship with the grooves 5Ab when positioning the part holding part 4 in a process position and communicated in a state of straddling the adjacent two grooves 5Ab when moving the part holding part 4 between process positions, are formed in a position corresponding to the respective process positions of the sliding contact surface of the fixed plate 5B.
