RUBBER CAP FOR INSULATOR FOR REDUCING WIND NOISE AND METHOD FOR CONNECTING INSULATORS THEREBY

PURPOSE: A rubber cap for an insulator and a method for connecting insulators thereby is provided to reduce wind noise generated in a cavity of the insulator and due to a connecting part and a connecting structure of two insulators. CONSTITUTION: A rubber cap for an insulator comprises a loop(12) inserted for surrounding a ball(32) of the insulator(30). The loop(12) includes an aperture for facilitating insertion of the insulator(30), a closing part(18) for closing a cavity of a socket(42) of another insulator(40), and a groove for providing damping between the connected insulators(30,40). The closing part(18) has a support part facing the bottom side of the socket(42), a connecting part between the support part and the loop(12), and many protrusions on its inner side. When the rubber cap is fixed around the ball(32) of the insulator(30), the ball(32) of the insulator(30) is inserted into the socket(42) of the other insulator(40). The support contacts the bottom of the socket(42). The outer side of the part of the closing part(18) faces the boundary of the socket(42). The protrusions contact the ball(32) and the socket(42).
