CHITIN DERIVATIVE WITH SUBSTITUTION GROUP CONTAINING FLUORINE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chitin derivative having specific and high discriminating capability to asymmetry, and to provide a separator for optical isomers containing it. SOLUTION: This chitin derivative is a carbamate derivative of chitin produced by reacting chitin with a fluorine containing compound having a functional group which can react with hydroxyl group of chitin in a solution of lithium chloride in N,N-dimethylacatamide. This separator for optical isomers comprises the chitin derivative as an effective component.
