PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyaminepolycarboxylic acid based chelating agent composition having improved dispersion performance, to provide a manufacturing method of a polyaminopolycarboxylic acid metallic salt, and to obtain a detergent composition having an excellent detergent effect. SOLUTION: The chelating agent composition and the manufacturing method of a metallic salt of the chelating agent comprise a polyaminopolycarboxylic acid represented by formula (1) or its salt and a piperazinone derivative represented by formula (2) or its salt [in formulas (1) and (2), R1 to R7 are each described in the specification], wherein the molar ratio of a compound of formula (1) or its salt to a compound of formula (2) or its salt being 99.9:0.1-70:30. The detergent composition is obtained by using the chelating agent composition.
