PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a biodegradable multilayer film excellent in flexibility, barrier properties and mechanical characteristics. SOLUTION: The multilayer film is formed by forming an inner layer 2 out of a biodegradable resin of which the oxygen permeability according to JISK7126 is 10 cc/m2.24 hr.atm/25μm (25 deg.C, 50%RH) or below and by forming surface layers 3a and 3b laminated on both surfaces of the inner layer out of a biodegradable resin of which the elastic modulus in tension according to JISK7127 is 1.0-3.0 GPa. A layer 4 of an inorganic oxide is provided on one surface of the surface layer 3a, at least, of this multilayer film.
