PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a modified polypropylene composition having improved melt characteristics, to provide a method for producing the same, to obtain a modified polypropylene foam comprising the modified polypropylene composition as a raw material and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This modified polypropylene composition (A) comprises (I) a matrix composed of a propylene having <=4.0 Mw/Mn obtained by a gel permeation chromatography analysis and <=3.0 Mz/Mn obtained by a gel permeation chromatography analysis and (II) a polyethylene dispersion having <=30μm particle diameter. The composition has (i) 5.0-30 wt.% content of the polyethylene, (ii) >=4 g melt tension at 230 deg.C and (iii) the ratio of a tension (YT: g) at a yield point obtained by a load-time plot by measurement of uniaxial elongation viscosity at 0.1 sec-1 rate of strain to a tension at break (BT: g) of >=1.0.
