PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent scaling from spa water, not requiring the addition of chemicals like a dispersing agent, nor the virtual change of spa water composition. SOLUTION: An apparatus for preventing scaling from spa water comprising drawing piping to draw spa water from a spa water source and an electric field applying device 6 to apply an electric field to a part of the spa water. A method for preventing scaling from spa water to apply an electric field to the spa water drawn from the spa water source.
